Dave came to Church at Charlotte in June 2009. He is a graduate of Cedarville University, holds a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and is ordained by the EFCA. Dave became one of our Senior Pastors in September 2014 with an emphasis in teaching and leadership development. Dave and his wife, Rachel, married in the summer of 2004 and have two daughters, Shiloh and Callie.
My all-time favorite movie: Hard to narrow it down, but I’d have to say The Shawshank Redemption. Honorable mention for the lesser known Lars and the Real Girl – a strangely beautiful film.
My favorite food: She Crab soup, Ribeye steak, and a whole heap of chocolate chip cookies (with milk, of course)
My least favorite food: Corned Beef (there’s a backstory, but it’s not appropriate for print)
Something I can’t live without: I want to say “coffee,” but I feel like I should say “Jesus.”
If I weren’t working for the church, what would I be doing? Probably either teaching or something having to do with books (writing, editing, publishing). I am also a woodworking hobbyist and always thought I would enjoy owning my own shop.
