Daily we can dine with the King. We set the table but the King fills our plates. He fills them with good things. He is the One that brings all the nourishment needed to thrive, grow and serve. He is the One that generously hands out the portions of Living Water and daily manna from His Word. He is the One that seasons it with salt and radiates it with Light. Jesus said that His food was to do the will of Him who sent Him and to accomplish His work. Ours is to join Him in the work.
Jesus is the One that sprinkles the savory seasonings that tenderize our hearts and renew our minds with Truth. Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. Every day we can eat to our fill or we can push our plates away. It’s our choice.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Choose well, friends, because the day is approaching when we will all make our way to the grand banquet room where the Lord of Hosts and His Bride will sit together at the eternal banquet table. Beloved, we don’t want regrets wishing we had pulled up a chair sooner or sat with the Father longer. The only reason we can gain access is because the invitation to the party comes through the finished work of Christ. Our job is to trust Him as we walk a street called Grace and step through a Door called Mercy. Jesus with open arms beckons us to come, sit and rest. He feeds us to refuel our souls and strengthen our bodies. After a few meals together we can truly taste and see that God is good! Why then, would we ever skip a meal?
Jesus said to them, “I AM the bread of Life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.” John 6:35
