Matthews Campus

Welcome to the Matthews Campus.

At Church at Charlotte Matthews, we have various pathways for connection into authentic community that will bring gospel hope and renewal to those around us. Through our community groups for adults, our student ministries, and our children’s ministries, there are opportunities for the whole family to connect. Join us for our weekend services on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings.

One of our values is to struggle well and no one can struggle well alone. This is why we want to create places and opportunities to connect with one another and build relationships around God’s Word and engaging His world.

While we have a number of ways to connect at our church, our primary pathway to engagement is in community groups. These groups may meet in homes, coffee shops, or on a lunch break, but their aim is simple. Our groups exist to flesh out our church’s mission statement in small groups of people.

If you have questions about community groups or any other adult ministry, please contact Ryan Falls.

The aim of our adult ministry at the Matthews campus is to create smaller environments where we grow as an authentic community of Christ followers who are bringing gospel hope and renewal to our city and world. In addition to our community groups, we have ministry for men and women at the Matthews campus.

Through Bible studies, service projects, and social gatherings, the women of the Matthews campus grow together as Christ followers. This fall, we have a Women’s Bible study for the Matthews campus, on Tuesday evenings.

Men at Matthews serve our community through service projects and grow together in community as Christ followers through events like our Man Meals and the Matthews Masters.

Teenagers are a vital part of our church community. Our aim for our students is no different than our aim as a church. Our hope is to foster an authentic community of Christ followers who are bringing gospel hope and renewal to our city and world.

Our student program meets every Sunday evening from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the Matthews campus. Students gather with friends and adult leaders for a time of community building and discipleship. We want this to be a place where students can come together on a regular basis to be encouraged through God’s word and understand what it means to grow in his love and truth.

Throughout the year we hold fun events, service opportunities, and we eventually plan to have home based small groups.

If you have any questions, please contact Travis Janousek.

Upcoming Events

Our mission is to help kids grow as an authentic community of Christ followers who are bringing gospel hope and renewal to our city and world. We want to give our kids the good news of Jesus Christ in a safe environment, a church family that loves them, and we want them to have so much fun in the process that they will always remember the way to Jesus. We have kids classes for everyone from six weeks old through fifth grade.

First Time Guests

If it’s your first time joining us, ask a host to direct you to the Kids Check-in desk. Our Welcome Team will help you check in your children, print security tags, and direct you to the right classroom in “Little Stumptown.”

The curriculum we use is called The Gospel Project for Kids. It’s a three-year long, chronological walk through the Bible starting in Genesis and ending in Revelation. This curriculum will help our children see the Bible as God’s continuous story of redemption rather than a collection of individual stories. The goal of each lesson is to keep the gospel of Jesus central because the gospel message is the catalyst for heart transformation.
