Upcoming Mission Trips
Learn more below about our upcoming mission trips. Anyone interested in joining a Church at Charlotte mission trip should begin by filling out a ServeGlobal Mission Trip Application. If you have been on a mission trip with Church at Charlotte in the past, you may fill out the ServeGlobal Mission Trip Re-Application form. If you have any questions, please contact email@example.com.
Our global ministry is a response to Jesus’ command to “go and make disciples of all nations.” When we go, we are helping others to know Jesus more intimately and they are contributing to our spiritual growth as well. It is a mutually beneficial ministry. In my experience, there is something special about going into another culture and spending time with brothers and sisters in Christ who face different challenges and whose relationship with God might look different than our own. We come home challenged and encouraged and also satisfied knowing that we served others.
If you are interested in any of these trip opportunities, please email firstname.lastname@example.org, and a trip leader will be in touch. We will help you see where your gifts fit best and also guide you through the process, including the financial piece. We want to make it easy for you to experience international ministry. Involvement in global ministry has great benefits both for you and those you will serve.
We travel to Costa Rica every May and October to help lead a Bible course for rural pastors through Institutos Bíblicos de América Central (IBAC). In the summer, we will offer a trip that is conducive for families to do together.
August 2018 – Costa Rica Ministry Leader retreat in Uvita, Costa Rica at Refugio Solte. Led by Liz Johnson. This trip is full.
October 20-28, 2018 – Small team working at IBAC in rural pastor training.
We travel to Cuba regularly to spend time encouraging our brothers and sisters there and participate with our partner ministry Los Piños Nuevos.
We have a trips that help build facilities for Langano school. This is a school in a very rural area of Ethiopia that is a muslim dominated community. This school provides a quality education to students who are being taught by Christian teachers showing them the love of Christ.
We also send teams of ladies to lead a spiritual retreat with the girls living in the Deborah House. These girls are so vulnerable and have come from deep poverty. They are looking for a better life and this is an amazing opportunity for us to love them and help them see their worth.
We also take teams to Langano to help at the Sports Friends youth camps. This opportunity is available next summer.
We work with a church in the region of Adama and are hoping to take a team to do a youth conference in partnership with a Kale Heywot church there.
TBD – Trip to the Muslim Outreach Project to help with a training and Deborah House Spiritual Retreat. Trip led by Joe Harding.
Because of the need to protect our partners on the ground from government attention, we travel to East Asia usually only one time a year and take very small teams.
TBD – Trip to Barnabas and Friends training center in Chang Rai, Thailand. Trip led by Ryan Falls.
