Church at Charlotte is a community that is stirred by Scriptures, struggles well with life, and serves others. A key component of serving others is CAC’s Outreach ministry. Outreach helps the church body live out the ideas of our mission statement in the world around them.
In Acts 1:8, Jesus says that “you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Outreach desires to see people engaged with God’s work in the Charlotte area, the United States, and the rest of the world. To change a community, it takes the development of relationships among those in the community, and we strive to build those locally and globally. We have four ministry areas that help us fulfill this mission:
ServeLocal: To seek the welfare of our Charlotte community by investing intentionally into the spiritual, emotional, and social lives of vulnerable children.
ServeNational: To serve through crisis response opportunities across the country
ServeGlobal: To serve in our four focus countries – East Asia, Costa Rica, Cuba, and Ethiopia
Missionary Care: To support and encourage our missionaries who serve around the world and here in the States
Where is God leading you to serve?
We have created opportunities for you to experience the impact of God’s work here and across the globe by praying, going, and giving. Step out of your comfort zone. Engage in the needs of others. Give sacrificially. We believe that doing these things will transform you from the inside out and help you to grow in your faith, while gaining a local and global perspective of God’s Kingdom.
Church at Charlotte teams periodically go on trips to support and serve our missionary partners and others serving in career missions both here in North America and around the world. We have international trips in 2017 planned to Cuba, Ethiopia, East Asia, and Costa Rica. Learn more about these trips and apply to join one.
Inspired by God’s words to the exiles in Babylon through the prophet Jeremiah, Church at Charlotte’s Elders have established a fund that focuses on engaging our congregation to seek the welfare of the city of Charlotte. Learn more.
