Today at VBS we learned that Jesus is the only way! Our Bible verse was, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6.
Our Bible story was Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection (Matthew 15:21 - 16:7)
We also practiced our ABC’s of becoming a Christian.
A
- Admit to God that your are a sinner. Repent, turning away from your sin. (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
B
- Believe that Jesus is God’s Son and accept God’s gift of foregiveness from sin. (John 3:13, John 14:6, Acts 4:12, Romans 5:8, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 1:11-13)
C
- Confess your faith in jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. (Romans 10:9-10; 13)
Be in prayer for us tomorrow that our children will believe the Bible is God’s Word.
Here are some photos from today’s fun!

Another day of VBS is behind us and today we learned how to celebrate the truth - JESUS IS GOD’S SON!
Today, we ask that you would pray that our children will find ways to celebrate the truth - Jesus is God’s Son. Tomorrow be in prayer that our children will believe in Jesus and follow God’s plan for them.
Today’s Bible verse of the day was:
“Simon Peter answered, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Matthew 16:16.
Here are some of today’s photos.

VBS is this week and we are already having a blast discovering God’s Unshakable Truth!
Our key verse for the week is “Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart, that I fear your name.” Psalm 86:11.
Please pray for our children attending VBS this week, as well as our volunteers. Our prayer request for Day 1 is that God will help children know that he is real. For day 2, please pray that children will find ways to celebrate the truth - Jesus is God’s Son.
Here are photo’s from Day 1 - check back each day for more photos and prayer opportunities!

Church at Charlotte attendee, Hannah Purdy Budic, recently published the children’s book Ebenezer Flea and The Right Thing to Do.
Ebenezer Flea and The Right Thing to Do is a children’s story Hannah wrote while still in college. She had no time to get it published then, but when she became a full-time stay-at-home mom she decided to pursue the dream of getting her story published. It got picked up in August by Publish America, and went to print in February. Writing is something Hannah has always enjoyed, as well as children - and when she had her son TJ she desired to have more books with virtues and character content. Ebenezer Flea is a great story for people of all ages, and it teaches children about the virtue of kindness and how important apologizing is (in fact, it is the right thing to do!).

Hannah grew up in Berea, Ohio, and attended Baldwin-Wallace College where she earned her B.A. in English.
In March 2007 Hannah, her husband Tim, and their son TJ moved to Charlotte. They have been attending Church at Charlotte since the move, and love it! They are involved in a small group and Hannah works in the nursery.
You can find out more information on Ebenezer Flea and where books can be found at http://www.ebenezerflea.com.
