My morning started very early but it was worth it. I was invited to a 7am breakfast to hear the CEO of Habitat for Humanity speak. This was especially neat because I have had the opportunity to travel internationally with Habitat (to Thailand and Belfast, NI) and Habitat Charlotte is one of our ServeLocal partners.
I left that special time to meet with one of our new members who recently moved here from South Africa. It was great to hear his passion for the church and outreach, especially to those most vulnerable to the AIDS crisis, children. How appropriate that I was able to meet with him the day after reading this article describing the AIDS orphan crisis.
I know it is a pretty gloomy day outside, but God is moving nonetheless. I am truly thankful to know that and have the opportunity to serve at CAC.

Please celebrate with me! I just found out that the total from the Thanksgiving Eve service for our China initiative was over $10,000!! Praise God and thank you for your generosity and support. Please continue to pray for our work in China and for our Chinese brothers and sisters.
