Book Lull

Posted on March 10, 2010 at 12:50pm. 2 Comments

I’ve been in a book lull lately.  I went through a string of great books (you can look at some of the books I’ve read here) during the Fall and Winter, but for some reason the past month or so has been dry.  Maybe I needed a break or maybe the right book just didn’t come along.

My hope is that the dry spell is over.  I received a copy of Just Courage by Gary Haugen today (I read Good News about Injustice by Haugen a few years back) and it looks to be up my alley.

I just finished watching a video (you can watch below) that has Haugen discussing Just Courage and I’m now ready to open the first page tonight.

Have you read it yet?  Do you have other book recommendations?  I’d love to keep my book list growing!

God Bless,
RJ

    RJ,
Looking at your shelf, I’d suggest you go ahead and make “A Million Miles in a Thousand Years” your third Donald Miller book.  I liked it more than Blue Like Jazz, actually.

Recently I also enjoyed Surprised by Hope by N.T. Wright and am Currently reading Christ Plays in Ten Thousand Places by Eugene Peterson.

Great suggestions-thanks Rus!  I did enjoy the other 2 Donald Miller books that I read so I might as well try the 3rd.  I also like the title of the Peterson book-very intriguing.
