Serving Others
Electric Wind

I haven’t posted in a while, but I think I now have something worth posting.
I just finished reading The Boy who Harnessed the Wind about a boy in rural Malawi who built his own windmill from junk to bring electricity to his house. My wife read the book a while back and told me to read it. I think it has taken me at least 6 months to get around to it. I’m glad I did…..thanks sweetie.
I read the entire book in one day which, if you know me at all, is a true feat. It also speaks to how gripping the story is.
William’s story demonstrates the power of education, formal and informal, as well as the devastating effects of famine and greed. I would highly encourage you to go out and add this book to your nightstand, Kindle, Nook, iPad, or however you read books these days (I use them all which becomes a little confusing at times).
I’ve posted a short documentary below that will help give some context. Enjoy!
