Ethiopia Famine

Posted on July 19, 2011 at 1:56pm. No Comments

Southern Ethiopia, and parts of Kenya and Somalia, have missed the last two rainy seasons.  As most people in these regions are subsistence farmers, they depend on these seasonal rains to provide for their families.  The situation right now appears very bad and the word famine is being used frequently in the articles I’m reading.  Famine is truly a hard concept for most of us in the West, but it is reality for so many.

Please join me in praying for our brothers and sisters across the ocean.

Here are two recent articles where you can get more information too.
