Hope Cancer’s 5K Run and 2K Walk

Hope Cancer will host a 5K run and 2K walk on September 13 at McAlpine Creek Park. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. The run will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the walk at 10:00 a.m.
Top fund-raisers will be entered in a drawing for a fantastic prize, and all who raise at least $100 will receive a free Kate’s Race for Hope T-shirt. Lunch will be provided by Sonny’s Bar-B-que for $4 a plate.

Hope Cancer is one of Church at Charlotte’s partnering ministries and exists to provide hope by giving spiritual and emotional support, along with practical ministry, in Jesus’ name for cancer patients, their caregivers and those who are grieving.

Hope Cancer’s services include:
          2 training seminars
Matching patients to partners
Maintaining a close working relationship with medical, social and church groups in the Charlotte community as well as Hospice
Assisting and training local churches to start their own cancer support ministries
Praying for all patients and caregivers through prayer emails and monthly prayer times
