Stirred By The Scriptures

I am looking out my study window at a cloudless Carolina blue sky with the sun shinning and the temperature a balmy 30 degrees. My mind went to David’s expression in Psalm 19 -

“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skys proclaim the works of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.”

Powerful words of the daily display of an awesome God. However it is the end of the Psalm that got my attention, because it is the end of the Psalm where David makes the awesomeness and wonder of God personal. “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.” To let my life reflect this awesomeness of God by seeking to walk in step with him. Lord, that is my desire.
