Stirred By The Scriptures

No, the title isn’t a mistake for many people that is what this season of the year is.  It is a mess.  At some point, in most of our lives, the mystique of the holiday loses its luster.  We realize all is not peace on earth, goodwill to mankind. There are marriages on the rocks, job futures uncertain, tensions in relationships and disappointments a plenty.  It is at that point that the real hope and joy of Christmas shines brightest. Jesus, the baby born in Bethlehem is our hope.  Maybe in the messiness of Christmas we will look to the simplicity of Christmas and find hope.
