Living Out Our Calling as Men.
SouthPark Men’s Ministry
At Church at Charlotte we encourage men to step up to the plate and live out their unique calling. We challenge them to move from isolation to involvement, growing deeper in their faith, building strong friendships with other men, and serving the needs of our church and our community. If you have questions contact Pastor Tim Cox.
Digging into God’s Word.
Men’s Bible studies are an opportunity to gather around the Word, in discussion, and in prayer as we look at Scripture portions as a whole.
Wednesday Evening Studies – Winter 2018
We’ll offer two studies this winter, on Wednesdays beginning January 16:
Heart of a Warrior Book Study
Men have a glorious and significant role in God’s Larger Story. They also are the target of a special warfare aimed continually and ruthlessly at the center of their being… their masculine hearts. Naivety and ignorance keep many men running in circles while misinformation and poor training keep many more in bondage. Men are wounded, frustrated, angry and being crushed under the weight of criticism and expectations. What if as men we are set up for failure rather than living free? You were made for freedom. But you will have to battle for it. Join this study with other men as we journey with God to discover a place of training and orientation that will ensure both a settled heart and a fierce courage. Before you can be the Warrior, you must become the Beloved Son.
Join us as we study this letter to Timothy, from his close friend and mentor, Paul. This letter happens to be the LAST letter we have from Paul in the New Testament…a letter Paul wrote knowing that his own end was near. Join us as we consider this saint’s final words of counsel to his “son in the faith” as we prayerfully process what they mean for us today. Meets in E-16 in the Admin/Education Building.
Join us Saturday mornings at 6:00 a.m. for our weekly Java Run, a time for men to connect over a run and conversations over coffee. The run is designed for all levels and intended to be a place where all abilities feel comfortable.
The group meets at the 4 Mile Creek Greenway entrance in the parking lot across from Starbucks in Piper Glen. The normal distance is 4 miles (although some will run less or others may run more). This group meets regardless of weather.
No frills. No centerpieces. No cute name. Just a mess of food, some good friends and a great speaker. Come join us for Man Meals, a community event designed to help our men make connections and be encouraged as they live out God’s calling on their lives.
Our next SouthPark Man Meal is April 11 at 6:30 p.m. Register here.
